If you look at the top of your document, you will
see that you are using Prosper to produce PDF slides.

Propser is an obsolete LaTeX document class.
PowerPoint is a Microsoft product.

The margin problem is a known bug in Prosper.
I believe it results from changes in the geometry
package that Prosper did not keep up with.

The bottom line recommendation appears to be:
switch to powerdot.  (However my own experience
with beamer has been very good, fwiw.)
