Automatically opening Adobe Reader

Hi!

I'm running Windows 7, MikTeX 2.9, WinEdt 5.5 (build 20071003) and Adobe Reader X. I have set the PDF texify method (Options -> Execution modes -> Tex Output tab) to dvi -> ps -> pdf. (I choose this option because of the graphics files I use.)

On texifying filename.tex, I expected compilation would occur and Adobe Reader would open filename.pdf. Instead, compilation occurs but then WinEdt freezes. Going to Adobe Reader, I find that a dialog box has opened with the title "Select Security Settings for Import". Pressing the Cancel button returns me to Adobe Reader, allowing me to view filename.pdf (in the process unfreezing WinEdt).

The above behaviour only occurs if I start texifying filename.tex with filename.pdf open. However, it would be nice if I didn't have to close Reader down every time I wanted to re-texify filename.tex. Is there a fix?

Thanks, in advance, for your help
