Antivirus program caused the "Permission denied" error on MiKTeX
installatino and package update:
I found out, what caused the problems on my computer: It was the Antivirus
/ Antispyware / Firewall program "Avira Premium Security Suite 10". It has a
service called "Avira Antivir Guard". Excluding the Temp-Directory from the
scan did not help.
Stopping this service, MiKTeX installs without problems. I tracked it down
to that it must have to do with my computer since i tried to install MiKTeX
2.8 and got the same error messages. But half a year ago it installed
without problems.
