Re: TeX capacity difficulty

Having worked on a LaTeX class file, I can well understand this frustrating situation.

1) Find a previous copy before you added the \def.  Ensure that that file runs, and then examine the \def to be sure that it is well-formed.

2) Take a long look at your file. Perhaps it is time to "re-engineer", in which you basically start over. I did that once or twice.

So many grouping levels are quite certainly a programming error.

You can add \tracinggroups=1 to your document. Then the log-file
will show you were groups are entered and leaved and perhaps give
you an idea where all this groups pill up.
