math symbols changed in my plot

Dear All

I am new user of MiKTeX. I have installed MiKTeX 2.9 and running it on
Window 7 for my Thesis.It is running fine for texts .

I got a problem when I uploaded my plots in Figures. After compilation,
some of my math sign and symbol changed in my pdf version Thesis.pdf.

for eg. 1. The integration sign changed to set of lines.
          2. The greek letter mu changed to greek letter infinity.


How to fix this issue?

I am looking for possible solutions.
