Installation problem (windows 8.1): "The directory (...) is not a valid installation source"

Hi everyone

At the beginnig of the installation, when I have to specify the location of
the directory that contains the Miktex distribution files the following
message appears:

"The directory
C:\Users\Pablo\AppData\Local\Temp\MiKTeX Setup
is not a valid installation source"

I have checked that when running the *.exe file an empy folder called
"MiKTeX Setup" is created in the directory specified above.

I have tried with running the file as administrator, disable the antivirus,
etc but the result is the same. Btw, I use windows 8.1, just in case it
makes any difference.

I hope there is someone who knows why I am getting this error and how to
solve it.
