faulty exe file ??

Hello all,
when producing some sheet music with PMX, I ran across
a stupid problem: a needed program  file, musixflx.exe
(date 13-26-08,49,665 bytes), doesn't respond correctly;
in fact, even when run nakedly under Windows 7,
 the latter answers
"musixfkx.exe funktioniert nicht mehr aufgrund eines Problems
   und wird geschlossen. Sie werden benachrichtigt,
   wenn eine Lösung verfügbar ist"
   (ha,ha, thanks for the meaningful help, Windows!)

Does anybody have a musixflx.exe file (perhaps
more recent) that works properly and can send one to me?
Or conversely: am I on a wrong track ? Thanks a lot.

(using my APS adress is the simplest snd safest way).
