package repository not online

I have installed MiKTeX 2.9 (64bit) on a windows 7 machine.
When I try to update the packages the list of servers does not appear and I
receive the error message included at the end of this post.
The predefined server, or the nearest server is not online, at least from
the point of view of MikTeX, but it does not allow change it.
It happens with both Package Manager and Package Manager (admin).
I even put the Package Manager (admin) in the whitelist of programs allowed
to bypass the firewall, with no avail. The problem persists.
¿Does anybody know a solution to this problem?
