This is a followup to my previous posts about installing MiKTeX on a Windows 10 system with separate Admin and Standard User accounts.

There is an additional "gotcha" (with a suitable, but not 100% obvious workaround) if you are using such a system (as I now am trying to do). When running as a Standard User, you cannot install Packages. I found this just now while writing my first TeX document and trying to make the PDF - there were a half-dozen Packages that I needed to add (this first time), but couldn't.

The "fix" is to right-click the TeXworks icon and choose "Run As Administrator". This appears to run as though you were logged in to the Administrator account, as doing a search for the file I'd just created that lived on my Desktop failed to find it, as the TeXwork's file browser showed me the desktop of my Administrator account. [Curiousity question - what if there are multiple Admin accounts?] Note that it seems more "logical" (though I'm not a Windows internals expert, so don't know if this can be done) to "run with additional privileges" and keep my same file settings ...

When I installed the missing Packages, the default (which I left alone) was to install them "For all Users", which was what I wanted.

Once I'd gotten the Packages installed and the PDF built, I closed TeXworks and opened it again in the same Standard User Account, as a Standard User. Sure enough, the Folders that Open showed me were my own, and, indeed, I'm able to create PDFs now.

I anticipate that as I do more TeXwork stuff, particularly opening and modifying documents I've previously created, I'll encounter other "missing Packages", and will have to do this dance, again.
