Hi Thomas, hi pretesters, with our Debian packages we just found out that not all formats that are listed in fmtutil.cnf can be build. This was tested with 2.96.1, of course, I didn't know of the newest beta. Some formats are not tried to build (not available, that's o.k.). The following are tried to build, but fail: mex-pl, pdfmex-pl [@Hilmar: cont-cz is built (as opposed to tetex-2.0.2 on Debian)] Error messages: fmtutil: attempting to create localized format using pool=tex-pl and tcx=il2-pl. running `pdfetex -ini -translate-file=il2-pl -jobname=mex-pl -progname=mex-pl *mex.ini' ... ! pdfetex.pool doesn't match; tangle me again (or fix the path). Error: `pdfetex -ini -translate-file=il2-pl -jobname=mex-pl -progname=mex-pl *mex.ini' failed fmtutil: attempting to create localized format using pool=pdftex-pl and tcx=il2-pl. running `pdfetex -ini -translate-file=il2-pl -jobname=pdfmex-pl -progname=pdfmex-pl *pdfmex.ini' ... ! pdfetex.pool doesn't match; tangle me again (or fix the path).
