RE: 2.99.6 beta release

I am new to this List and like to say hello !

I have downloaded and compiled the latest Beta-Release under Redhat 
Linux and all things were fine.
Untaring the src-archive with Sun's tar reported the following error:

$ tar xvf tetex-src-2.99.6.20041211-beta.tar

So I "untared" the archive succesfull with gnutar, but wasn't able to 
compile it under Solaris 8 with the Sun Workshop 6 Update 2 Compiler. 
An error Message appeared, that was discussed earlier in this list:

Although this Problem seemed to be fixed, it doesn't work for me.
