Not true (unless there are wicked old versions on CTAN).  The PFBs
were updated to take into account the new delta, but not the new
arrows.  We (well, Barbara Beeton) has a letter from Don in which he
states that he is pleased to see that we (the AMS) started to use the
new delta in our publications.

True.  Y&Y has versions of the CM fonts in which the arrows are correct,
in addition to haveing the extra sizes of the AMS fonts in type 1 form
(excepting the Euler fonts, which are in sizes 5, 7, and 10).  The only
reason why the Euler fonts are not packed in sizes 6, 8, and 9 is that
Euler was not an optical design -- it is designed to be scaled.
