teTeX 3.0: installation fails on SGI 6.5.22f

Dear all,

although following the workaround in PROBLEMS, i.e.
setenv CONFIG_SHELL /usr/freeware/bin/bash, `make world` stops with the
following error message (details are available in the attached files):
