Not that I recall.

Googling for pxdvi, I find a lot of pages with dominoes (unicode characters
that my browser does not display).  It seems to have something to do with
(la)tex in Japanese.  There is also platex, ptex, and pdvips.

Here's a page that says a few things about pxdvi (etc.).  It's in
Spanish, but at least it's in romanji:
