Yes, I'll install valgrind at some point.

I'm sure there are many (theoretical) memory problems in the code, but I
can't say it's my top priority, since they apparently don't cause
crashes in real life.

Running just info (no valgrind) turns up a problem in info's parsing of
menu lines, it seems, so thanks for that suggestion.

    With the following patch, it passes the above test.
