I am trying to set the background color of my presentation using \pagecolor (as I wanted to define a particular color for the slides), however I noted that the slides appear white until the whole content of the page has been written (I am showing text in a stepwise way). I tried to look for an alternative \background color command, but it seems that there is no one for a plain page. How could I set the background color from the very beginning of the presentation?.

A second question: I am also using the "\liststepwise*[\let\hidestepcontents=\hidedimmed\let\activatestep=\highlightenhanced] { ..." statement in order to show an itemize slide with active and inactive colors. The inactive text appears vanished, once it is selected turns black and on going on to the next item, it remains blue. However, I noticed that when I reach the last item, its color does not change to blue like the previous text, but remains black, a feature that looks not fine at the end of the presentation. I wonder why it is happening and if it could be at all avoided.

Best regards,
