Two easy questions for once:
\definecolor{bgblue}{rgb}{0.04,0.39,0.53}
\definecolor{bgblueend}{rgb}{0.04,0.78,0.83}
\backgroundstyle[stripes=20,startcolor=bgblue,endcolor=bgblueend]{vgradient}
stripes - sets the number of stripes :-)
endcolor - sets the end color for gradient :-)
