Arnd, some of the fonts in your pdf were embedded as Type3, i.e. as bitmap fonts. Hence they look blurred. I assume that something with the pdftex configuration is not right. Check if all map files are there and loaded. I think this depends on which TeX system you use but it should be mentioned in the local guide. HTH, Martin -- 26% of Canadians can't read.
