How long is the cable and is it electrically terminated? I have seen the PPS timestamping on I210 to randomly stop working when reconnecting between different GPS units. I suspect it happens when the hardware gets multiple pulses too close to each other. I can reproduce it by configuring the GPS with the CFG-TP5 command to generate pulses at a very high rate. There seem to be two different failure modes. With one it is sufficient to restart chronyd, but the other one requires reloading of the driver. I looked at the driver source code for any clues, but didn't see anything. -- Miroslav Lichvar -- To unsubscribe email chrony-users-request-kWFZVVI9zxvPqho9SqqRMmD2FQJk+8+b@public.gmane.org with "unsubscribe" in the subject.
