Periodic time saving to disc (no RTC)

Hello,

i would like to have an equivalent of what systemd-timesync offers with 
the config option:

/SaveIntervalSec=
/The interval at which the current time is periodically saved to disk, 
in the absence of any recent
synchronisation from an NTP server. This is especially useful for 
offline systems with no local RTC,
as it will guarantee that the system clock remains roughly monotonic 
across reboots.


More important than the regular saving operation itself (which i could 
achieve with an
external script touching a file) is the initial clock setting using that 
"timestamp file" when
Chrony starts.
I couldn't find anything like that in the docu, is it possible to do that?
