Most people editing Python, which Aap recipes resemble, set the
'expandtab' option, so that only spaces are used for indents. You may
want to set 'sts' and 'sw' to four.
What is really important is that 'tabstop' is set to 8. That is the
standard value that the Python interpreter (and most other software)
uses.
