OK, I was just asking to understand why the change is necessary.  I also
have a few problems with the tests on MS-Windows (mostly forward slash
versus backslash things), still trying to find a solution...

When I have some time (probably next month) I'll look into how actions
are used.  Several problems have become clear.  One of them is that when
using a variable to specify another action to be used you can't specify
that this action accepts a different set of filetypes.
