Look in the AAPDIR/log file.  With a bit of luck the only error reported
is that one file could not be obtained because another is in the way.
That's an upper/lower case problem.  If that is so, change to the Vim
source directory and run "aap" there.

Unfortunately, the people at SourceForge still didn't fix the CVS
archive...  Perhaps we can support GNU Arch one day, should not be
difficult to support.

I don't understand this one.  I'll try this command myself...  Works
fine for me on FreeBSD.  Could be something CygWin specific.  Any more
info in the AAPDIR/log file?
