Well, AFAIK Klemens somehow uses Japanese characters with current KMemAid 
version, and he doesn't have problems.

As a sidenote: That's why he developed KMemAid - because he couldn't use 
non-English (at least Japanese) characters in plain MemAid.

There was a patch, by Tomas Styblo, to 'fix' it.

So I still think it's Klemens who should give us some light about the issue - 
e.g. is setting UTF-8 as locale user settings suffice?
Or just setting an UTF font in ~/.Xdefaults is enough?
Unfortunately, it seems I don't have any UTF fonts installed in
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/ so I can't test it.

And I think we should put this question/answer (how to work with non-English 
characters?) in FAQ.
