I usually don't care/think too much about variable names, but better now 
(before implementing it) think about it than latter change it.

"id" is fine with me. Could be bad if somewhere in the future we will want a 
"id" as number, but I doubt about that.
"note" is fine with me too.
'cookie', hmm. Some way I associate it with the web. ;)

Speak out what you prefer... :)
I vote for "id".
