I'm sorry, that's an 8 year old version of sudo with a large RedHat
patchset applied on top.  As such it's not really supportable.

However, if you have log_input, log_output or use_pty set in sudoers,
try disabling that and see if the problem still occurs.  There were
race conditions in some versions of 1.8.x where the exit of short-lived
commands could be missed.
