Hi again

Thanks for your replies, sadly when I try your command I get:

!
!
4 tests and 1 subtest skipped.
Failed 78/85 test scripts. 20683/20922 subtests failed.

Also tried to force it with no luck.

It does however look like it is the 2.005 version that is installed:

!

perl -MCPAN -e 'upgrade IO::Compress::Base::Common'
Going to read '/root/.cpan/Metadata'

Running install for module 'IO::Compress::Base::Common'
Running make for P/PM/PMQS/IO-Compress-2.033.tar.gz

  CPAN: checksum security checks disabled because Digest::SHA not installed.
  Please consider installing the Digest::SHA module.

I just can't seem to update it. This most certainly is not an XMLTV error, but all the help I can get would be helpful :) Is it possible to uninstall IO-Compress-Base-Common?

Have you tried upgrading the offending module? If not then try this:

sudo or root shell the following:
perl -MCPAN -e 'upgrade IO::Compress::Base::Common'
