   CentOS is using perl 5.8.8, so DM6 refuses to work, even if I try to 
force it (it checks and moans that I've got < 5.10).

   I'm no longer convinced it's a box config. issue, as both my CentOS 5 
home PVR (upgraded from Fedora 5) and my work freshly-installed CentOS 5 box 
misbehave in the same way (with the same XMLTV vn. as is on my Fedora 14 
PC), the only apparent difference being the DM version being picked.

   Hmm.  I should try the same thing on my desktop, forcing DM5 instead of 6.


   I'll try to produce a cut down script that exhibits the fault so I can 
step through it more easily.


   What exactly is the XMLTV utc_convert function supposed to do?  It's that 
that's reporting differing answers, but it looks like the grabber's 
expecting a localtime out of it at one point, and that jars with the 'utc' 
in the name.
