what are you trying to do? (It sounds like you are working at a cable company that is either new or
upgrading their platform. Which makes me wonder what your platform is missing with regard to
collecting and processing the guide together with the tv signal.)

All texts in the usual epg are always under copyright.

Usually the resctrictions are related to using the content only in direct relation with the
broadcast. There *may* be financial compensation required, but that's only for some channels.

You need to either get the rights from each and every data source (tv station) and process the
data yourself (btw, that's what the users of NonameTV do) or you can pay someone to do that
for you.


If your company wants to offer services like "buy the movie you just saw on disc" you'll need
to aggregate the data with a dvd catalog, too. But these datasets can be bought, too.
