I'll answer a different question:

As the API Explorer demonstrates, one does not need to know the platform
or the region in order to retrieve the list of channels:

https://atlas.metabroadcast.com/3.0/channels.json?limit=50&offset=0&annotations=&broadcaster=&media_type=&available_from=&order_by=

(Rince and repeat for increasing values of offset in order to retrieve
the next set).
