Tried 'em both ... no luck. Tried lowering my internet security options 
... no change. Apart from some sort of router funkiness that I'd have no 
idea how to accommodate, I'm out of ideas.

I'm stumped. Sounds like you're stumped. It does work just fine on the 
other machine, so that's what I'll do.

Thanks for your time and suggestions, and double-thanks for creating the 
XMLTV toolset.
