A while ago there was some discusssion about how to make it so stuff like:

aegis: Warning: You are seeing the short form of the error messages.  The
	message catalogues may not have been installed correctly, or you may
	need to check the settings of your LC_ALL and LANG environment
	variables.

I just noticed that fhist now requires libexplain does this mean that
cook and aegis will soon require it to counter the above?
