I was thinking about that as well. I could not decide at this stage and it
is simpler to use the dialog for now rather than to hack the list control to
allow in-place editing of subitems so I used the dialog for now. It is very
simple dialog and I didn't create a separate files for it because it may be
removed.

Right now it's all very simple, just to allow me to complete the
transformation from current CVSROOT model to the cvs-info based one. Once
that is done there will be time for improving the user interface.

That is not the limitation - in-place editing can perform all additional
functions just as well with a little effort.
