Hello Guy,

Thursday, December 30, 2004, 11:56:44 PM, you wrote:

in the GCVS_GTK2 branch there is a subdirectory 'lib' where these
files exist. They are needed by automake. Configure checks for the
existence of these fcts on the current system, and if they do not
exist, they are replaced by the fallback functions from the lib
directory.

No, there is no relation to the cvs-1.10/lib directory (there is
only the same paradigm used by cvs to replace missing functions).

Run autoscan and have a look at the resulting output. Here you will
see candidates that are not compatible with all Unix like systems. So
there have to be lot more files in 'lib' directory, but also the
respective '#ifdef HAVE_xyz ...' lines have to be put in all sourcefiles
involved. That will be a major challange, which I think has to be done
if we have access to / need for other platforms...
