Yes, unfortunately the "reports" are correct. His wife contacted us 
(i.e. cvsgui-owner) a couple of months later to ask me to remove him 
from the mailing list as she did not have his passwords to do so herself...
In the wake from the shock of that message I added the "RIP" bit on the 
FAQ page and then later removed it again as I found it to be rather out 
of context and might even be considered to be in poor taste by some - in 
any case it didn't really belong in a technical document IMHO.

These pages are badly in need of an update no matter what. I just don't 
have the time to do it anymore and probably won't for the forseeable 
future because of my daytime job workload and family "obligations". As 
some of you might have noticed I hardly find time to do anything beyond 
approving new member postings and banning spammers these days (yes, this 
list is still actively moderated).
