Actually it *is* that simple...
Select the folder you don't want anymore (you do have checked in your
edits, right?), then hit the Delete key on your keyboard and off it
goes including the CVS subdirs below.

CVS is a file based system and whatever you do on the client side with
your files is never known by the server until you do a commit.
So you can safely just delete the non-wanted folders.
There is noone to "tell" that you don't need this.

There is one exception to this and this is if you have used reserved
edits or the like and you are still holding the editing token
(effectively blocking everyone else from checking in changes). In that
case you should cvs unedit the folder contents before deleting them.

cvs release may also be used of course....
