Error while tryin to Logout from CVS.

Hi,
We are trying to login to CVS with the login ID ans password which
completes succesfully. But when we try to logout from the CVS server it
ends with an error which I have given below.
TCL is available, shell is enabled : help (select and press enter)
cvs -d :ssh:[email protected]:/home/cvsroot/CVSIndia login
Logging in to :ssh:[email protected]:22:/home/cvsroot/CVSIndia
***** CVS exited normally with code 0 *****
cvs logout
cvs logout: No CVSROOT specified! Please use the `-d' option
cvs [logout aborted]: or set the CVSROOT environment variable.
***** CVS exited normally with code 1 *****
Please let us know how to solve this error, since we were able to login
to the same ID in another system. Please let us know how to solve this
issue.
