removing names from the Checkout Module name dropdown

On the Remote->Checkout Module->Checkout Settings(tab) is a box 
labeled "Module name and path on the server".  It seems to remember the 
names of all past modules that I tried to check out.  The problem is 
that it is a long list full of misstyped names and sample projects.  Is 
there a way to remove unwanted items from this list?  I have searched 
my harddrive and can not find a file storing this information.  Where 
it kept?
