Re: Getting started with a new project

WinCvs is a CVS *client*.  You mention you have a CVS server, and you 
think you have a repository set up.  If you don't have anything in that 
server, I'd recommend you start over with CvsNT, which can be found 
here:  http://www.march-hare.com/cvspro/

CvsNT is actively developed with real support for Windows.  They have 
active mailing lists for support, and lots of documentation.

As for how to connect Visual Studio to CVS, I've not had use for Visual 
Studio.  Search Google for "visual studio cvs"; I see some relevant topics.
