progess window is blank

Dear TortoiseCVS experts,

I have a strange problem on my Windows XP Prof. PC. When I update,
commit or do other cvs commands with the GUI, the content of the
progress windows stays blank. It is working in the background, but the
problem is, that I do not see, what is going on. I can right click
into the window, but it is not possible to select anything.

To solve the problem, I uninstalled and reinstalled TortoiseCVS in my
computer, and I even tried the unstable version. The problem remains.

The strange thing is, that the content of the progress window is
visible, if I log in as Administrator in Windows XP.

Does anybody has an idea, which files or preferences I could set or
remove? Any registry entries?
