installation failure

Hi,

I get the same error every time I try to install TortoiseCVS.
I've tried the default install into Program Files,
also tried Program Files (x86)
and tried into some other directory.
I also tried installing as Administrator.

I always get this error:

Failed to start TortoiseCVS runtime installer (error "The application 
has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is 
incorrect.  Please see the application event log for more detail') Setup 
cannot continue.

Then in the event log I find:

Activation context generation failed for 
"C:\Users\Howard\AppData\Local\Temp\is-HC4LH.tmp\RunTimeInstaller64.exe". Dependent 
Assembly 
Microsoft.VC80.CRT,processorArchitecture="amd64",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",type="win32",version="8.0.50727.4053" 
could not be found. Please use sxstrace.exe for detailed diagnosis.


So, I wonder if the TortoiseCVS download will only work on AMD cpus?  I 
have an intel cpu.

Or maybe it is complaining that I do not have the correct version of the 
Microsoft C language runtime?

Any advise?
