Icon overlays

Hi,
 
I'm having trouble with icon overlays. Ny normal user does not have
rights to install programs (this is in a corporate environment). I do
have access to a local admin user, which I have used to install 1.12.5.
The icon overlays work for this account, but if I log out and into my
normal user account the overlays are not present.
 
Any help on this is appreciated.
