apparently corrupted repository...

I attempted to "rename" a file. mission.html to mission.shtml.
 
It did not work!
 
Now when I checkout a new working folder, the file mission.html is there but
its icon has a "?" in it as if it were a newly added file.
 
Does anyone one have any thoughts on how to fix this?
