Hi Marcus, TortoiseCVS is a GUI - the commands it is running are provided by CVSNT. If you install CVSNT on your linux box it'll work just the same. CVSNT is NoT CVS, it runs on Linux, Solaris Sparc, HPUX, Windows, Mac, AS/400... The fact is I want to list it under my Unix shell, but when I do that it simply says `cvs [ls aborted]: server does not support ls` I've tried to see how Tortoise CVS manages to list it, and it shows up this command-line: --- In C:\DOCUME~1\a512114\LOCALS~1\Temp\: "C:\Program Files\TortoiseCVS\cvs.exe" -q -Q co -c CVSROOT=:ext:[email protected]:/cvs/TimBrasil Success, CVS operation completed In C:\DOCUME~1\a512114\LOCALS~1\Temp\: "C:\Program Files\TortoiseCVS\cvs.exe" -q -Q ls -q / CVSROOT=:ext:[email protected]:/cvs/TimBrasil project1 project2 project3 Success, CVS operation completed --- Is cvs.exe really doing that? (cvs.exe -q -Q ls q /) Why can't I run it using my cvs client under Linux? Or is it doing something else?
