Hi Steve,

Your server is set up incorrectly, or your CVSROOT is wrong.

It's got nothing to do with korn shell, but the reason is long and
complex and has nothing to do with TortoiseCVS - it's a server issue.

What version of CVS are you running on the server?  TortoiseCVS uses the
CVSNT client, it works best with the CVSNT server (yes CVSNT runs on
linux/unix).

If you run an old 1.x server you wont get things like mergepoints,
change sets, atomic commit, access control, single sign on etc etc.
