The file named ".#filename" was originally named "filename", and was
copied/moved by TortoiseCVS to preserve it.  This can happen when a conflict
arises during a CVS update upon a file that was locally modified but not yet
committed back to CVS.  The new file named "filename" is the merged file
with the conflict that you would need to resolve, while the ".#filename" is
the original (locally modified) file.
