Hi Zeca,

=20

Are you working with Victor & Pete? If so, ask them to add you to the
support agreement and we can provide system specific step by step
instructions. Just ask one of them to send in an email to
sales-qn/[email protected] to add you, then send in your help request to March
Hare support and we'll help.

=20

Here's the quick version though for reference:

=20

It sounds like you accidentally turned on 'reserved edit' (keyword 'c'),
when you wanted just kv option.

=20

Verify your settings on your files by looking at the CVS properties.
Right-click in explorer and choose CVS > Command and type "status" (or
type "cvs status" at a command line in your sandbox).

=20

Assuming the expansion option is ckv and not kv like you wanted, you can
change it by removing it from the file then forcing a commit, e.g.:

=20

cvs up -k-c FILE.EXT

cvs ci -m "remove opt c" -f FILE.EXT

=20

There's other things you can do with the server compatibility and
cvswrappers settings in order to make sure files get added consistently
with the options you want which we recommend.

Subject: [TortoiseCVS] Entries file options - /-kckv/,locked and not
valid editor msg ???

=20

We started to have problems with CVS after creating a new module with
TortoiseCVS.

=20

The options in the entries file in the CVS folder is -kckv and now the
files are locked after adding them to the repository (ASCII files that
should have concurrent commit).

=20

We cannot have concurrent commits and some files get the cvs server:
user XX is not a valid editor of the file "x.java" even if XX is the one
that created the file...

=20

Any help is appreciated.

=20

Thanks
