Most of the time you'll be seeing Explorer x64, but some applications use Explorer x32 as a window within the application (e.g. like CVS Suite Studio does). =20 Explorer x64 registry key: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\ShellIconOverlay Identifiers =20 Explorer x32 registry key: HKLM\Software\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shel lIconOverlayIdentifiers =20 If you only have Admin access for the day, you might consider renaming the TCVS icon overlay registry entries rather than that of the other software. The reason is that other software will replace those renamed entries over time (e.g. when an update is installed) and then you'll end up with some or all of them not working again eventually. I've had success putting a couple 0's in front of the name (e.g. "00 TortoiseCVS0"). Tortoise overlays still appear, and they don't degrade over time like it used to with the previous advice of renaming the others to fall lower in the list. When I open a folder connected to the CVS repository I can see the CVS overlays for the folder and subfolders in the explorer view to the left, but nothing shows up on the files or subfolders in the folder view. =20 I found plenty of guidance on Google for renaming the registry keys, but I can't find anything on the icons not showing up on the files.
