When I send people links to our subversion items, there are cases where you can get asked several times to enter your username and password after clicking on the links. It happens with Internet Explorer more than the other browsers but a link to an excel or work doc like: https://svn/svn/Repository/Project/trunk/latest/somedoc.docx OR even worse http://svn/viewvc/Repository/Project/trunk/latest/somedoc.docx will require multiple logins. Also, often times, I use viewvc to send comparison links of two revisions and can get asked for a password up to 8 times: https://svn/viewvc/ToolsRepository/Utilities/trunk/doc/architecture/Hardware/AIS_Racks.pptx?r1=43842&r2=43919 If I cancel the login, I still get the contents I'm looking for but I'm minus a few *.png icons on the page with info of: https://svn/viewvc/*docroot*/images/diff.png IS THERE A WAY to configure my svn server to avoid getting so many login requests? Why am I getting SO MANY requests, why aren't the credentials cached? Again, Firefox and Chrome act differently than Internet Explorer but I'm really trying to seek out WHY this is happening because anytime I get asked for my password more than once, it's an annoyance. ------------------------------------------------------ http://viewvc.tigris.org/ds/viewMessage.do?dsForumId=4255&dsMessageId=2878090 To unsubscribe from this discussion, e-mail: [[email protected]].
