[viewvc-users] Changing domain name of CVS server

Hi Everyone,

I received a request from one of our staff regarding changing/migrating the domain authentication of our CVS server from one domain to another. In our current setup, our CVS (in Linux OS) has been joined to current_domain.local and authentication is being done using this domain. Now, we need to move our CVS server to new_domain.local.

My questions are the following:

1. If I will join our CVS server to new_domain.local, will it affect the files/folders permission of our CVS server?
2. What other things that we need to check before doing the domain name change?

Any inputs will be highly appreciated.
